Fitness,Strength, and Power

Putting things in motion. Having received NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certification (certificate #1450663)on July 18, 2013 and now fully insured I move on to securing my business license. I will be "Doing Business As" Les Carpenter, CPT, keeping it simple as I will operate as an independent contractor. Although I am working Fridays beginning in September 2013 at the Enfield Senior Center in Enfield Connecticut as a personal trainer and exercise program designer for seniors who are active Prime Fitness members.

I am also talking with the Ludlow Senior Center Activity Director and discussing ideas as to how I might fit into their growing exercise program for the active seniors in the town of Ludlow Massachusetts. This and I have plan's to identify and put together a win win proposition with a local fitness club that will allow me to train individuals at the fitness club facility and benefit the club at the same time. But more on that later.

After a lengthy layoff from active employment, which I used to focus on the intensive 9 month schooling and training to prepare myself for a new career in the fitness field I'm looking forward to getting to work and enjoying the many opportunities to help others achieve their fitness goals to become a reality for them!

Plans are in the making to turn the design of my fledgling fitness blog, Fitness, Strength, and Power over to a professional to give it a fitness look with some pizzazz. More on this later as well. Meanwhile:

Fitness,Strength, and Power

Fitness, Strength, and Power is in the process of development. Ultimately intended to provide health and fitness information for the general public it will hopefully develop interest in functional fitness and motivate the sedentary to consider a more active and healthy lifestyle. Regardless of age and current physical condition adhering to a well designed exercise program that has been approved by your health care professional (Doctor), can and will improve ones quality of life.

As I embark on my new career as a Professional Fitness Trainer (PFT) this site is my jumping off point. Look for more posts in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime eat healthy, keep moving, and happy!
